Member Accountability

Submit a Complaint

The Land Based Fishing Alliance reviews complaints involving conduct, membership standards, fishing practices and other matters within the Alliance's authority.

Before You Submit

Give Us the Facts.

Please provide clear, factual information and include enough detail for LBFA to understand what occurred and determine whether the matter falls within its authority.

Complaints should be based on firsthand information, reliable evidence or information that can reasonably be verified.

Submission of a complaint does not automatically result in disciplinary action and does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Fair Process

How Complaints Are Reviewed

Complaints are handled under LBFA's established review and discipline process, including evaluation of available evidence and an appropriate opportunity to respond when applicable.

Certification & Acknowledgments

Please Read Before Submitting

LBFA may review, investigate, refer, dismiss or otherwise address a complaint according to its governing documents and applicable procedures. LBFA may request additional information. Information submitted may need to be shared with persons involved in reviewing or responding to the complaint. Complete confidentiality therefore cannot be guaranteed.

Responsible Reporting

Accountability Works Both Ways.

LBFA takes legitimate concerns seriously. The complaint process should not be used for harassment, retaliation, personal disputes unrelated to LBFA, knowingly false allegations or attempts to misuse the disciplinary process.
